I was wondering if this has ever happened to others. I have often been cutting someones hair like a flattop for example. And the person is ok with a short flat even real extreme like a horseshoe. I have often gotten over zealous with my cutting and gone way to extreme often making the flattop almost offensive. I totally love flattops but there seems to be a fine line between a nice crisp looking horseshoe and a big blank spot on top. I'm sure this has happened with other cuts but I'm referring to getting crazy with a landing strip or horseshoe flattop. Do you know what I mean between nice looking and crazy. Just curious has this happened to anyone else.

hi, i went over zealous sometimes with myself. shaved too high - initially going for a razorshaved hnt flattop with landing strip. then i shortened the remaining horseshoe more and more. i looked like a brutal boxer, really extreme, sporting a manly short moustache. so in the end i shaved completely, because i thought it would look too extreme otherwise. strange, but a shaved head does not look as extreme as a supershort hnt with stache. by the way i cannot see your pics here - you have links (like to a flickr-album) maybe? cheers max

yeah I think something went wrong with the upload ill retry. yeah I know what you mean exactly and most of the time that going to far is when I do a severe flattop on someone. I got a buddy who totally loves flattops he calls the horseshoe the culdasac flattop. I have done his where hes cool with me going extreme but there seems to be that point of fine finishing where it gets drastic. I like a shaved horseshoe like my barber did when I was younger he would make a full flattop and get the front really squared up and then like shave the shoe more and more until I had like a half flattop and it would blend out bald. It was a hot look. I have tried them but usually end up going to far.
